I'm not sure if the Wii version uses motion controls or not but I have no interest in using those. I'll only consider the Wii version if I can use a controller. This version is an emulation of the Nintendo 64 version, but does not support controller vibration, rendering an in-game item titled the "Stone of Agony" to be useless. The Wii can play the GameCube compilation versions with this feature intact. It worked quite well although some games didn't render properly.

I presume the v1. I doubt there'll be any major difference between v1. You can also check out the 3DS version but you'd need to have a 3DS, it's adds a bunch of features. Buying the GameCube game and putting it in my Wii apparently supoorts vibration too but is rendered at x, so I may as well buy the GC disc instead of the N64 cartridge.

You didn't list it but 3ds version is really good. It has revamped character models and textures, and better inventory control. It's also got master quest and some other extras. If you dont mind playing on a handheld it's probably the best looking and most complete version. If not, N64 is still great. I have not played the Gamecube or Wii version but I prefer the N64 controller for this game.

I'd say N64 as it was the "new" experience. The controller was obviously fantastic also. I did complete the game on the 3DS, and the graphics were better on that, with far smoother textures to the N64's block colours.

So if somebody was playing for the first time ever, I'd say 3DS. Those texture packs are nice but they still have the low polygon models. The 3DS version I think might run at 60 fps, but it might be a straight 30 fps for all I know.

The overall reworking of the graphics, models, and animations made it a worth while game.Link's animation has been made more dynamic in OoT 3D. Also, when enemies are near, Link automatically goes into a 'ready' stance, whether he is armed or not.

When he has his sword drawn and L-targets an enemy, Link will sometimes twirl his blade. Sheikah Stones are new to the 3DS version of Ocarina of Time; their purpose is to aid the player with visions of part of a quest or obtainable upgrade the player has not found yet. The number representing the number of times you lost all of your hearts is not present on the load screen in the 3DS version, but was included in all previous versions.

Now when Link goes up to his bed and presses A, you have the option to either take a Nap, which will simply refill your hearts, or relive past nightmares of the bosses you've already fought, otherwise known as Boss Battle Mode.

You can relive any boss battle within the game, whether you are young or adult link when you approach the bed. Each battle is timed so the player can test themselves on how speedy they are at boss fighting. In addition, when you defeat all 8 bosses, a 9th slot will unlock in Boss Battle Mode, known as the Boss Gauntlet. It's a challenge in which you must defeat every boss in a row, starting with 5 hearts. However, after each boss fight, you'll have the option to open one of two treasure chests that appear, and they could include any useful items, even extra heart containers.

The Boss Gauntlet, like all the other Boss Battles, is also timed. Pink Fairies completely refill your life, even if they are stored in a bottle and automatically used when you lose all your hearts. In other versions, they only restored 8 hearts when automatically used. Navi senses fairies inside Gossip Stones now, tipping you off to an old trick: Play the Song of Storms to summon a fairy.

There is an improved icon beside each Triforce-plaque in the Water Temple, making it much more easy to know exactly how Zelda's Lullaby will affect the water level in each area. Additionally, the beginning to any path from the Water Temple's "lobby" that will eventually lead to an area where you can change the water-level is indicated accordingly.

The Nintendo 3DS version retains the music changes introduced with later copies of the original Ocarina of Time for N64, namely the alternate version of the Fire Temple song. In the original Ocarina of Time, you received an item called the Stone of Agony picture, below right from the skulltula house in Kakariko Village once you collected 20 gold skulltulas.

The item bore a resemblance to the Rumble Pak for the N64 and caused your controller to rumble when you stood near a hidden grotto or other secret. In the 3DS version, it has been replaced with the Shard of Agony, which instead beeps repeatedly when near secrets and beeps faster the closer you are to a secret picture, below left.

After the final scene in the original game where Link and Zelda meet againthe game freezes on "The End" and you can mess around with ocarina sounds using the N64 controller. It's a nice orchestrated version too -- which was conspicuously missing from the original Ocarina of Time.

When equipped, you could jumping-slash King Dodongo with the Deku Stick two times to kill him. In this version, the Deku Stick does not inflict anywhere near as much damage as it once did. While many of the character models and environments in this new edition of Ocarina have seen numerous flourishes and details added, some things have been removed altogether. One such example is the lack of blood in the Bottom of the Well area in Kakariko Village.

In the original version of the game, the Bottom of the Well looked like a chamber of horrors, with blood splatter and apparent torture devices littered about.

Ocarina 3D diminishes the gore in this new version to almost nothing. Like all re-releases of OoT, this version maintains the altered version of the Gerudo symbol that appears on blocks, the Mirror Shield, and other places in the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The original symbol was a crescent moon with a star, similar to the symbol found on many Middle Eastern flags. This resemblance prompted its removal in the first place.

Nintendo did not want to inspire a negative reaction from fans by having a real-world symbol represent the flag of the main villain. In the first version of Ocarina of Time, the blood that Ganon emits at the end of the first battle phase was red. It was changed to green in Ocarina of Time 3D. Last Edited: 30 Apr pm.

There is very little negative to say about this game. Let's do a break down of the pros and cons. Yes, it may be the same premise, but there is much more depth this time around. There are other things going on, not just Link rescuing Zelda. All of the side quests add so much to the main story. The depth is what makes the game succeed. I am not a gamer by any stretch of the imagination. I cannot even remember the last time I committed to playing a video game from start to finish. Some background first, but if you're not interested in about who I am as a person, just skip to the bold: Ever since I started music production outside of Mario Paint and Finale, I REALLY found a passion in remastering video game music by recreating it from scratch with my own library, and sampling "iconic" video game sounds if necessary like Spyro Reignited.

Last month I decided to recreate some songs from Majora's Mask please forgive the inconsistent and wacky mastering, not only am I an amateur, these songs just haven't received my full attention lately because of what's belowwhen I had the epiphany that I could replace the music files within the 3D version with my own versions, which I admit probably isn't too original an idea, but my versions are my own and no one has ever done the music like I will, and the opposite applies in terms of how others remaster the music too I personally think it'd be cool to have a selection of remasters available from different producers at your disposal.

I've already tested this successfully I'd like to present a fully remastered soundtrack for Majora's Mask 3D one day, and when I wake up tomorrow, I'll spice up the songs I DO have a bit and post those files. With that in mind, I decided to shift gears and start focusing on Ocarina of Time, which I personally appreciate the soundtrack of more.

I have not the slightest clue how to reprogram each area of the game to play a.

Hey, I can tell you that it's possible to change nearly all of the music for Majora's Mask 3D. I've done a complete mod myself, using orchestrations and remixes found online. There are bcstm files that can be replaced easily. Ocarina of Time 3D is different. All the bcstm files aren't there. I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to hex edit the "dummy" file to make it possible to change all the music.

Ocarina of Time for Switch self. I feel as if the switch is the best console for remastered titles, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time would be amazing on Switch. What are the chances that this could actually happen?

Personally, I wonder if they have intentions of releasing a virtual console in a year or so, with some titles being potentially updated to look better on HD TVs. But, I diubt that will happen. I can't understand why they don't just dump roms on a server and let people buy them.

I've heard arguments that it's due to the culture of classic cartridge worship in Japan but it would be so trivial to do, you could have hundreds of them up and make an insane profit. I think it's the dumbest move to keep avoiding it while slapping rom sites with the other hand.

Mortal kombat, il numero 9 vietato ai minori

Yes they can do that but then they need to do a proper emulation software. We have had crappy emulation before on the Wii U. Was totally spoiled by the games that offered it on the 3DS. The only reason emulation software has been difficult to build for third parties is because they had to work from outside, without any of the original resources Nintendo has.

Also, emulation on the Wii-u worked perfectly fine and is the same basic coding platform. It could be easily ported. This is not enough of a reason to not do it. This could affect the much-needed long-term Switch support. Or all the zelda ds games packaged too or in it's own package. There's hacks to use the dpad instead of stylus so it's not impossible. I bought the Switch because I had been out of the Nintendo loop since the n64, fully expecting to be able to eventually play retro games on virtual console JUST like they did with the Gamecube, the Wii, the Wii U, the 3Ds It seems like Nintendo right now is SO damn preoccupied with the sales of old ass platforms like the NES "classic" and SNES "classic" that they struggle to even put them at all on the new online service thing I got nothing against these systems, one of them is one of my all time favorite console.

But If we're to expect like 3 NES games a month, can we really expect to ever have the N64 on virtual console? That's without mentioning that the N64 classic is probably on its way To be fair, OoT, while a good game, has been remastered a ton of times at this point. I'd rather see some other games get the remaster love. I truly hope it does happen, since it would be very easy for them to do.
